Noodle Forest

Ice Cream anyone?

This week we went to the children's museum, now one of my favorite spots. I love the old building that they converted and I can't believe all the activities. They just completed a 3 story climbing structure that looks like it really came out of a child's imagination. They have lots of seating for adults and people around to keep it safe. Stella love the noodle forest, the grocer and ice cream stand, the race car track and the fort room. The cafeteria had yummy, healthy kid food that I enjoyed:) and best of all it had AC.

Resort Hopping

Many of the local resorts open to the public on certain days of the week or for the whole summer. So for family night we went to the Fairmont in Scottsdale. It was basically our for the taking. There was no one else there. Just a huge pool, waterslide, playground and sand pit with toys.

Hot Summer

So we've been discovering new ways to enjoy the summer. I'm really impressed with how there is a lot to do working around the heat. We went to the zoo when it was 100 degrees and discovered the splash pad. They also turned on the big sprinklers in the "Amazon" section so it really felt like a rain forest. After they were completely soaked I stuck them on the carousel to dry off.

Stella's Crafts

Stella spends a little time everyday at the Village while I workout. They do all sorts of crafts and activities. She was proud of this tissue flower.

Lucia's big Hike

Lucia came with me on the Pinnacle Peak hike. I love this hike. It is 3.5 miles and a lot of hills and valleys. It's steep. She completed the whole thing. It wasn't easy but the last 1/4 of a mile she ran the whole way to the bathroom. Here she is looking back on her accomplishment.
