Tempe Triathlon

Rich joined the recruits of his boss and did the Tempe Triathlon. He did well even though he got a flat. He still beat his boss by 2 mins. I guess All's fair in work and working out. Afterwords we went to my favorite restaurant Tru Food and then yogurt with the girls.

May Nights

I love May. I confess, I've been afraid of temps. I look at the 10 day report and try to brace myself for 97 degree days. So maybe it's because I've psyched myself out or acclimated, but either way I love May. I love the evenings. I took the girls to pizza at this local joint that is right by a park so you can eat while they play. There is this Goldendoodle that I see there everytime and he is darling. So happy bouncing around. So that was a happy night and the nausea was subsided by my girls smiles.

Sad but True

So I haven't cooked for like two months. Food has been a sore spot. I finally decided to hit the frozen food section and let the girls pick out all the Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine meals they wanted. Fortunately, Rich eats more than well everyday so I don't have to worry about him. When I nuked the pot roast and green beans with trader joes sweet potato fries Lucia was pleasantly surprised. I called her to dinner and she said "Mom this is a lovely meal you've prepared." I thought man these guys are sure easy to please. One day I may do the real deal.

Heroes Presentation

Lucia was Pocahantas for the Heros presentation at school. She had to memorize and recite a report on her and Sally Ride. She practiced all week and did great. They learned about our American Heros and the continents of the world as well. She has had a great time this year. It's fun to see everything she is learning.
