I have a thing for kids in goggles

Propaganda

These are pics of the pool area of The Village Athletic Club where we spend a lot of time. Tonight we hung out watching the girls as they swam. This is my attempt to lure people to visit. Is it working?

This place is really amazing. I even love the locker rooms. They have everything you need. And I mean everything.
Brooke's like "how funny is it you are the scary chick taking pic in the locker room."

The Infamous Snowshoe Outing

Even though I got hypothermia, this was awesome. We started in big cottonwood canyon, snowshoed up and cross country skied down. It was really beautiful. Marissa's brother was at the bottom assuming the worst. We were gone for hours. Definitely good family bonding.

Stella

Here are some pics my mom took of Stella. I'm so glad she got these.

Christmas 2009

Christmas was fun this year. Lucia was cracking us up.

She left milk and cookies, a set of scriptures and a picture of her and Stella delivering toys to the kids at Primary Children's hospital near the fireplace. I think I sang Santa Claus if Coming to Town one to many times. Very effective.

Earlier in the day she took Stella's black baby doll, cut out some green leaves and laid in on the living room table in a "manger" to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

After we opened gifts I took the tree down immediately and put everything away to get ready for the move. Marissa was teasing me, "There no sign Christmas was ever here." Hey you gotta do what you gotta do.

Daddy Daughter Date

Rich organized a night out with Lucia. He took her to to the Nutcracker and a "fancy" meal of shrimp cocktail. Lucia felt really special and was still humming the song from the Nutcracker even today on the way home from her first day of school in AZ. I think the night made a lasting impression.

Bye Bye Snow

Shannon brought the kids up for a rare visit. It snowed an the kids enjoyed their last snow day for a long while. I love the pic of Stella trying to catch it with her tongue. She has the right idea. I will miss the view of snow out the living room window. I won't miss the pile of wet snow clothes.
