valentines day

Lucia and Stella had two parties yesterday and were pooped. The day started with a party at school and ended with a party at the Village. Rich and I went to Sushi and to the movie Valentines Day which we walked out of. We have a ceiling for stupid. It's nice to have an excuse to dress the girls in pink and send sweet cards.

Swim Team/Happy (nap) Hour

Lucia has been officially signed up for swim team. I was sold when I heard they placed 3rd in state last year. Not that Lucia will contribute much to that this year, but it's fun, social and a great way for Rich to take a nap. She loved it.

Zoo afternoon

Lucia got out of school early so we went to the zoo. Their favorites were the petting zoo by the barn and the little farm playground. They milked a cow etc. They also loved the flamingos and the monkeys.

The girls learned to fly a kite today. 3 boys from the neighborhood got into it. It was a lot of fun, but Stella protested a little when the boys joined in. They were the sweetest kids. Earlier I heard them pretending they were going to Disney World on their BMX bikes. They were 10 I hope our kids stay that innocent for a long time.
